The San Francisco outpost of this high-end restaurant group serves excellent steak in its accustomed habitat: a masculine, dark-paneled venue with tuxedoed waiters, heavy cutlery, and martinis at every elbow. Just like in the Old Country, waiters wheel the foodstuffs to your table on a cart for your pre-dining perusal. Most everything's delicious -- especially the creamy porterhouse, the bacon-wrapped sea scallops, the buttery wild mushrooms, and the cloudlike lemon soufflé -- but the high decibel level and generic ambience can be off-putting. Large, meat-friendly wine list.
